Timing made easy
This system was originally designed for the use of testing speed of football referees. The second objective was to keep it cheap and accurate.
We designed this system with mostly “of the shelf” components like the tripods that are normal camera tripods and the cable that connects the secondary set of gates is normal computer network cable so that if any of these components break in the middle of Africa they can easily be replaced without propriety fittings and cables.

Test Parameters
Candidates will start with one foot on the 1 meter running start line. When the instructor is ready with the gates in reset position he will set the candidate off.The candidate will trigger the start of the timer through Gate set 1. He/She will run the 40 meters and trigger the stop of the timer through Gate set 2. He/She will then walk back and join the other candidates in the back of the line to get ready for his next run. In the mean time the instructor will record the time and then reset the timer and set of the next candidate. Groups of 6 to 12 candidates can be tested so that the candidate has enough time to walk back and join the queue. Candidates must complete at least 6 of the allotted 7 runs within a given time to pass this test.
Two sets
Two or more sets can be used at the same time making testing of big groups even easier. This Photo was taken on a test day with more than 100 candidates to be tested.
