As these sets are splash proof and can take a few rain drops it can not survive a good shower in Cape town. This was overcome with clear plastic bags over the sets and timer. The infrared transmitters and recievers are strong enough to read through clear plastic bags and pouring rain.

Athletics training aid

We are in the process of developing an aid to measuse progress in athletic training. By using a manual clapper to trigger the timer and a set of gates on the 10 meter mark to establish a benchmart on reaction time and a secondary set to measure the full 100/110 meter run.

What makes these timing gates perfect for short distance athletic training is that it measures 2 critical aspects of improving athletes performence. The timer is accurete to the nearest 100th of a second.

Whith a moduler approach, one gate can be used at the start/finish line to do lap times around the track for the longer distances.
